While other parts of the world are going through hard times and have bleak futures ahead, the BC interior and the province as a whole looks to be solid.

While other parts of the world are going through hard times and have bleak futures ahead, the BC interior and the province as a whole looks to have a solid future and the economic forecast for the region is one that is said to be optimistic. One good thing about Canada and British Columbia is that the job market is not suffering as much as it is in the United States. Exported goods have started to make a huge rally in the interior economy. People are coming to the region for lumber and are also looking for services which is a very strong sector of the job market. There are plenty of job opportunities in the BC interior and these jobs are ones that look to be around for years to come.

When talking about jobs in the BC interior you have talk about nature and with that comes those types of jobs. Engineers are also in high demand in the Interior. The Peace Country of the interior is a nice place to go in search of a job. It is where oil and gas fields are located and this job market is always looking to hire and take on new workers. The BC Interior contributes very strongly to the welfare of British Columbia and Canada and the workforce is a thriving one.

The economic forecast for the BC interior is certainly one that shows that it will keep growing. While the oil and gas inflation is in the area, the Canadian economy has been able to fare a lot better than its United States cousin. Canada has pretty much come from any conflicts of the past decade unscathed. When the oil situation gets back under control across the globe, this is when the BC interior economy will certainly flourish. Still, with some job sectors that have been in place in the region for years, the sustainability is there and it is that sustainability that will lead the way to a strong economy and job market in the BC Interior for years.

British Columbia, Canada is without one of the most beautiful places that have ever been inhabited. There have been people here for years and they are one the ones who have kept on the traditions that make this place so special. There are people also who come here to lay roots from all other different parts of the world. It is these people who encompass and make up the economy and job market in BC. Here is a small look into the economy and job market in British Columbia.

The service sector is the main employer in British Columbia. It has been noted that British Columbia has the biggest service oriented economies in all of Canada. No matter if you are on the coast or in the interior of British Columbia, you are going find some kind of service job. These could range from hunting guides to fishing charter captain. It is a very unique job market and economy that is found in British Columbia. Four out of every five jobs in BC is a service related job.

British Columbia used to be known for its goods but that economy is one that these days only accounts for about a quarter of the gross domestic product that comes from British Columbia. 40 years ago it was the complete opposite; goods accounted for about 65 percent of jobs with the others going the way of service.

The good thing about the goods market in British Columbia is that with less goods being produced, less labour is needed but that labour is able to work and produce with optimal numbers. The goods that are being produced in the province make good revenue because there is a lesser workforce. British Columbia accounts for 13 percent of the total GDP of Canada.

Even with the current economic letdown that is going on worldwide, Canada and British Columbia has fared very well. Unemployment is not the problem it is like it is in the United States where ten percent of the population is without a job. Working in British Columbia is something that will have a person looking towards working for some kind of service or better than that have some kind of self-employed job. British Columbia is a thriving and prospering economy that contributes very well to the lives of the province and to the great nation of Canada.

Tripoli, Libya and their dictator Moammar Khaddafy may be thousands of miles away from the British Columbia Interior but just like the rest of the world, the Interior is feeling the effects of the revolt at the gas pump. Libya is one the major exporters of crude oil throughout the world and the unrest has caused gas prices to skyrocket and those rising prices can be felt in the Interior.

The price for a barrel of oil closed on the New York market just shy of $100 last week but did see a high of $120. One thing that seems to be rifling Canadians is that there is plenty of crude oil and refined gasoline in the country so they are baffled at why the prices are going up all over the country. Some say that it is speculation and that the rising prices in the Interior is more concern for overall business performance rather than performance of the oil industry.

The big fear that is coming as far as gas prices go is the rumored ‘day of rage’ that was started on Facebook. It is being said that the mass demonstrations that have been going on Egypt, Tunisia, and Libya will be taking place in Saudi Arabia and Iran and will happen sometime during the last week of March. If oil production is interrupted in those countries, analysts are saying that it is very possible that the price of a barrell of oil could easily top $200.

The price of gas in the Interior right now is right about 114.9 to 119.9 a litre. It pretty much fluctuates between those prices depending where you are in the Interior. The main thing is that nearly all of the oil industry insiders believe that the only way that the prices are going to come down is if the unrest in the Middle East and Northern Africa quells or better yet comes to an end.

With the ever increasing news that precious metals could become the thing that could take over for a nation’s currencies, the news has been the more and more Canadians are starting to invest in silver. This is actually a trend that is going on all over the world and the price of silver has seen the highest prices that it has ever been over the past couple of months. There are various factors that have caused the price of silver to increase but the main thing is that there is a high demand for it worldwide and the supply is getting lower.

Just like in the United States, Canada has seen a sharp increase in the production of their official gold and silver bullion. Every nation in the world has an official silver coin and in Canada it is the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coin. The country started this back in the late 80′s when the Calgary Olympics took place. There have been four different designs on the coin but since 2004 the official silver coin is the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coin.

The reason that these coins are so special is because they are made of 99.99 percent silver. Canada is another one of the countries who are looking to join the bandwagon of ones all across the world who are advising that stockpiling of silver and silver bullion would be a good thing to do. The bottom line is that the world is in the midst of its worst economic recession in history. The oil markets are unstable. The stock markets are too volatile. JP Morgan Chase recently announced that they will accept silver in certain transactions. Precious metals could certainly play an important part in the future and the economy of the BC Interior and the province as a whole.

The best piece of advice that a person can get these days is if you live in the BC Interior, you might want to start saving up your Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins. With the increase of the demand of silver across Canada and the world, excess silver could be the thing that could bring a huge excess in revenue and the Silver Maple Leaf coin would be a nice way to start.

According to the Citizenship and Immigration Bureau of Canada, there are about 170,000 people who apply for Canadian citizenship each year.

Anyone who has ever visited the British Columbia Interior or Canada will tell you that if that had their wish, they would certainly wish that they could stay and live here. Life cannot get any better than it is in the great BC Interior. This leads to the question of exactly how a person who is a non-native Canadian could be able to apply to gain citizenship. Applying for Canadian citizenship is not very much different than their North American cousin in the United States. It is something that takes a little preparation but in the end a person will find out that it is pretty much simple and before they know it they too will be a Canadian.

According to the Citizenship and Immigration Bureau of Canada, there are about 170,000 people who apply for Canadian citizenship each year. The most important thing that a person must figure out is if they are eligible for citizenship. In order for a person to be able to apply for Canadian citizenship they must be at least 18 years of age; have a permanent residence somewhere in the country; must have lived in Canada for more than three years out of the last four; show a mastery of one of the two official languages: English or French; should have a clean criminal record in Canada over the past three years up to when a person applies; and there is a knowledge of the country. An applicant will have to take a test where they will be asked questions pertaining to who the Prime Minister is and other facts about the country.

If you meet all the requirements and are able to pass the citizenship test, then you will be notified by mail that you have been accepted for citizenship and then you would attend a citizenship ceremony where you are officially named a Canadian citizen. In some cases an applicant may be asked to give fingerprints but that is not the case all of the time. It is pretty much a simple process.

So if you are a person who has already got a home somewhere in the BC Interior and are looking to become a permanent resident, check with Citizenship and Immigration of Canada at www.cic.gc.ca and it is there where you start the process. In no time you will become a part of the fabric of the BC Interior.
