One of the nice things about British Columbia and the British Columbia Interior is that the area and the province is able to offer things to do during all seasons of the year. BC is so vast and is made up of so many different landscapes. There are the lakes and rivers, there is flat lands of the Southern Interior, and awesome amount of trails. One place that is this ever so evident is the city of Kamloops. Kamloops offers hiking, mountain biking, skiing, golfing, and fishing. If a person is looking to go to a place that is full of adventure, Kamloops, British Columbia is certainly the place to go.

During the summer in Kamloops, there is the world class golf. The Tobiano Golf Course was recognized by Golf Digest as the best new golf course in all of Canada back in 2008. Camping and fishing is also nice in the summer in Kamloops and all the lakes, rivers, and state parks offer the best of fishing in British Columbia.

When it comes to the winter months, the place to go in Kamloops is none other than the Sun Peaks Resort. This resort is patterned after the ones that are so prevalent in Europe and offers everything that is associated with snow and snow sports there. Harper Mountain and State Lake is also another nice place to visit in the winter time in Kamloops.

Kamloops is also rich in history, culture, and tradition. There are several walking tours that a person can take where they can take in the beauty and the ambience of the city. The best thing for a person to do before they visit Kamloops or go to once they arrive there is go to the Kamloops Visitor Centre or go to their website. Here you will be able to get all of the information that you need about Kamloops and the surrounding area. Here you will be able to find out about lodging facilities, things to do, maps, and other recommendations.

Running a real estate business is not an easy one, because the tasks in this business are never – ending. But with a dose of determination, it is possible to manage this business. Buying and selling a property could be made easy through real estate. Whenever you think of buying a property, you could just seek the help of the real estates, which gives information on the rates of various lands and homes, depending on their places of location.

Advantages of making investments in real estate

1. More profit could be obtained by selling each and every property through real estate.

2. Leverage – It is possible to borrow money depending on the value of the property.

3. Even though, investing in real estate is so expensive, but still it is easy to buy, because in this investment, you need to have only a part of the purchase price available.

Kamloops is a place in Canada, which is famous for tourist attraction. People wish to buy property in Kamloops for the following reasons – climate, size, property prices, economy and its location. Even though, the rates of the property in Kamloops keep increasing, still it continues to be an affordable place to buy property. In general, lands and homes come under the category of property. Before buying a home, the following things should be considered

- Identify your needs which suit your budget.

- If you seek the help of the real estate, inform them about the kind of home you require.

- And always try to make a clear decision.

The best way to gain peace of mind is to hire a right professional. An objective view of the property is obtained by inspecting a house both structurally and mechanically. It is your option to choose a condo, townhouse or individual houses.

Town homes

Town homes are alternative to single family homes and offer various significant advantages. Townhouses are defined as attached homes with more than one level of living space. The following are the advantages of living in a town home; it requires less exterior maintenance, better security and community amenities. The benefits of town homes are it is easily accessible and convenient, affordable, spacious, requires less maintenance on the whole, and provides lots of privacy.

Condos

One of the perfect forms of real estate investment is condos. One of the advantages of condominiums is the maintenance of external features. If the advantages of the condos are understood well, then the investment in condos through real estate is considered to be a safer choice. Condos undergo a lot of fluctuations according to the market rates when compared with single family homes.

The property classifieds might give information regarding the homes for sale in Kamloops. When the real estate gets information about the sale of homes, they might intimate their members about that particular offer through email. While buying a property, make a clear and distinctive decision, because buying a property is not a simple one, it is an investment, which seems to be beneficial for our future in many ways.

Commerce Resources Corp. (TSX.V: CCE, FSE: D7H) has investors seeing double – in a good way. The company doubled the size of its Blue River property in 2007, located approximately 200km northeast of Kamloops, B.C., by staking an additional 95 claims for a total area of 104,700 acres to the south of the Bone Creek watershed. The total size of the property now exceeds 1,000 km2. This action was prompted by the discovery of a large ultramafic area of interest measuring about 6km long and 400m wide, approximately 12 km southeast of the Upper Fir Deposit. Samples taken from this ultramafic zone are being assayed, with a focus on nickel, PGEs (platinum group elements), and possible rare earth elements (REEs).

The company has also made major additions to its database for the Howard Creek Carbonatite within the northeast part of the property. According to the company’s website, “this deposit has now been mapped and sampled (with a total of 43 surface rock samples) with assays ranging from background concentrations up to 7.00 % titanium (Ti02), 8.61 % P205, 4843 g/t V205, and 3055 g/t Zircon (Zr02).” Sections of this extensive carbonatite complex contain significant titanium bearing minerals (ilmenite, magnetite, and titantite) and zircon. More work on the property is planned for the summer of 2008.

The Blue River Project is noted for its unusual carbonatite structure. Carbonatites are extremely rare, high carbonate, low silica igneous rocks. Carbonatite-associated deposits generally occur as intrusive bodies and are mined for a number of different minerals, including tantalum, niobium, rare earth elements, iron, copper, phosphate, nickel, uranium, gold, silver, platinum group elements (PGEs), zircon, vermiculite, and fluorite. So far, the project has proven significant grades for tantalum and niobium. The most recent (43-101-compliant) figures on the Upper Fir Deposit have outlined an indicated resource of 8.6Mt with 208.2 g/t Ta2O5 and 1,372.6 g/t Nb2O5, and an inferred resource of 5.5Mt with 208.2 g/t Ta2O5 and 1,349.9 g/t Nb2O5 (Gorham, 2007). The Fir Deposit has an indicated resource of 5.65Mt with 203.1g/t Ta2O5 and 1,047g/t Nb2O5 (Verzosa, 2003), and is also host to an inferred resource of 6.7Mt with 203.1 g/t Ta2O5, and 1,047 g/t Nb2O5 (Verzosa,2003). The Verity Deposit, 10 km north of the Fir deposit, is estimated to host an inferred resource of 3.06Mt with 196g/t Ta2O5, 646g/t Nb2O5 and 3.20% P2O5 (McCrea, 2001). Tantalum oxide is used in the manufacture of electronic devices called capacitors, due to its having the highest capacitance of any known metal. Niobium oxide has steel strengthening capabilities.

Specialty metals such as Ta and Nb are often found with REEs. The term “rare earths” (also referred to as the Lanthanide Series) is used to describe a group of 15 elements, plus the element yttrium. REEs have similar properties and tend to occur together in nature. The most common REEs (known as the ‘light’ REEs) are lanthanum, cerium, neodymium and yttrium. Previous results at Blue River have returned high values of 1905 ppm La and 2666 ppm Ce.

Cerium is used as a catalyst to produce pollution control devices for vehicles. It’s also a highly effective polishing agent for glass. Lanthanum gives glass a high refractive index, as well as a high degree of transparency and light transmission. Rechargeable La-Ni-H batteries are gradually phasing out Ni-Cd batteries as the non-toxic lanthanum replaces the toxic cadmium – reducing environmental problems in terms of disposal or recycling. Environmental considerations are leading to the increasing substitution of REEs in applications presently using elements such as cadmium and lead. REEs are preferred because of their relatively low toxicity.

Demand for rare earth elements has exploded in recent years – the estimated value of refined rare earths consumed in 2005 in the United States was more than $1 billion. Rare earth oxides, which are processed into powdered form, may range in price from US$3.00 per kg, for cerium oxide to US$15,000 per kg for scandium oxide. Cerium oxide and Lanthanum oxide are currently trading around $3.85/kg and $4.40/kg, respectively.

The U.S. Geological Survey Fact Sheet titled Rare Earth Elements—Critical Resources for High Technology, outlines many uses for REEs. “The diverse nuclear, metallurgical, chemical, catalytic, electrical, magnetic, and optical properties of the REE have led to an ever increasing variety of applications… [ranging] from mundane (lighter flints, glass polishing) to high-tech (phosphors, lasers, magnets, batteries, magnetic refrigeration) to futuristic (high-temperature superconductivity, safe storage and transport of hydrogen for a post-hydrocarbon economy).”

REEs aren’t typically found in economic concentrations – in fact, most of the world’s REEs come from only a few sources. The U.S. once was largely self-sufficient in REEs, but in the past decade has become dependent upon imports from China. Today, China produces approximately 97% of the world’s supply, with most light REEs coming from just one mine.

To compound a tight situation, China recently announced new export restrictions on REEs from its mining operations. This policy will result in a dramatic decrease in the REE supply. If Blue River continues to return good results, Commerce could potentially step into the vacuum as a major supplier of specialty metals and REEs for the North American and European markets. The cutting edge of technological research and development can only stay sharp if these markets take steps to secure an adequate, stable supply of REEs.

What makes Commerce a great long-term buy-and-hold is that it’s essentially immune to the volatility experienced within gold and base metals markets. The market for REEs is quite illiquid and the combination of future REE demand, along with the dearth of economically viable REE deposits in the Western world puts Commerce in a position of fantastic leverage in terms of its growth potential. Results so far indicate some bright possibilities. “This is the first time in those soil samples that we’ve seen potentially economic rare earth [levels],” said Chris Grove, the company’s head of Investor Relations.

Investors can anticipate more encouraging news from this rare bird in the next few weeks as the company awaits assay results from the ultramafic zone.

Next to the Sports Centre just outside the Village you will find a full sized outdoor ice rink. There is no need to bring your own gear as skating and hockey equipment can be rented onsite.

Tube Time – Tube Park

The whole family can enjoy a day at the tube park. Tube Time is directly beside the Village Platter Lift and operates every day between 12:00pm and 7:00pm.

Dog Sledding Tours

Lead a team of Alaskan Huskies through the forests of Sun Peaks. Warm attire and a good pair of snow boots are advised as guests may be required to run alongside their dog team while traversing certain types of terrain. It is for this reason that children under 14 and people who are not physically fit ride along with the guide for safety precautions.

Kamloops Blazers

Live hockey action isn’t reserved strictly for large cities. The Kamloops Blazers are a short drive from Sun Peaks and compete in the WHL. Games played in this league are highly competitive as players that do well here move up to the NHL. You never know, by attending a WHL game you might be witnessing the next Wayne Gretzky before his big break!

First Trax Breakfast

Getting on the mountain a full hour before the lifts open to the general public is something avid skiers can only dream of. At Sun Peaks however, this dream can be made into a reality with First Trax Breakfast. At 8:00am on every Wednesday during the ski season, First Trax ticket holders get one hour of powder-carving bliss before the mountain opens up to everyone else. The package also includes breakfast at the Sunburst Restaurant which is available until 10:00am.

Snow-Bikes

If you enjoy riding a bicycle, you’ll have a blast riding a snow bike. Snow bikes are simply bicycles with tracts and skis in the place of wheels. Before heading out onto the mountainside, a 2 hour training session is recommended.

Snowshoeing

Let an experienced tour guide lead you through every aspect of Sun Peaks’ snowy scenery. Guests taking part in this activity will learn about the history of Sun Peaks while interacting with its’ natural habitat. Below is a list, outlining the schedules of the available tours.

Alpine Snowshoe Tour Moonlight Snowshoe Tour Snowshoe Marshmallow Roast Winter Wonderland Snowshoe Tour Valley of the Lynx Snowshoe Tour

Sleigh Rides

Travel through the snow covered trails of the valley and golf course in a horse drawn sleigh. Rides are approximately 1.5 hours long and depart 7 days per week. This activity is very popular for families with small children.

Snowmobile Tours

Drive a snowmobile with an experienced guide and discover the powdered meadows, frozen lakes, and wooded trails of the backcountry.

Toby Keith got his big break as a musician in 1993, when his debut single “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” hit the airwaves and reached Bilboard’s number 1 on the country singles chart. The breakthrough hit allowed the Alabama native to reach fans across the country with his rugged cowboy sound. By 1994, “Should’ve been a Cowboy”, along with other singles, including “A Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action” and “Wish I Didn’t Know Now” were finding themselves in full rotation on country radio across the country.

In 1994, Toby Keith released Boomtown, a follow-up to his self-titled debut album of the previous year. Following Boomtown, in 1996, Blue Moon was released, an album which went on to reach platinum certification. Since then, the singer has become a country music icon, growing from a humble Alabama boy, into one of the genre’s biggest superstars to date.

To date, Toby Keith has released an astounding eleven albums, including five number ones and four multi-platinum releases. He has placed over forty singles on the Billboard Hot Country charts, including fifteen number ones and eighteen additional top ten hits. For his work, he has also been recognized with seven Academy of Country Music Awards, two Country Music Association awards and two American Music Awards.

Toby Keith’s latest and twelfth album, That Don’t Make me a Bad Guy, is set to be released on October 28, 2008. In the meantime, Keith can be found touring in Canada, as part of his Biggest and Baddest Tour. The tour is scheduled to hit Vancouver, Kamloops and Prince George, British Columbia, followed by Lethridge, Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta, all in early October. The tour features special guests Aaron Pritchett and Jessie Farrell.
