The Vernon Vipers have certainly been one of the more improved teams in the British Columbia Hockey League in this first month of the New Year and currently see themselves sittinga atop of the Interior Confrence standings. For two weeks this month they ranked 18th overall in the Canadian Junior Hockey League’s Top 20 of Canadian junior league hockey teams and the latest poll sees the Vipers climb up the charts to number 13. Powell River dropped to number 5 and the Penticton Vees dropped to 16. The Vipers made a 5 position jump and with them being the two time defending BCHL champs, don’t be surprised if the Vipers don’t break the top ten or even the top 5 before the regular season is over.
